Maya Bay on Phi Phi Leh was closed outright in 2018 after two decades of boat traffic following The Beach stripped the reef in front of it. It reopened with real limits: no boats in the bay itself, a jetty on the far side, capped numbers and seasonal closures. What you get now is a quieter bay and coral that is coming back. Trips run from Phuket and Krabi; the speedboat is fast and rough, the ferry is slow and calm.
